The Hendricks County Pro Bono Program, Inc. serves no-income and low-income persons. Applicants whose income is below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible for placement in the free legal services program. Applicants whose income is between 125% and 200% of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible for placement in the modest means legal services program which offers legal services at a reduced hourly rate. All applicants are responsible for expenses (e.g. filing fees, postage, copies). Both legal services programs use volunteer attorneys. This means that an applicant cannot receive legal assistance until an attorney volunteers for their type of case. For this reason, there is no guarantee an applicant will receive legal assistance and we encourage all applicants to apply to other legal services programs as well when available in their area.
